Information this website handles
Saved destination IDs and comparison selections are stored locally in a visitor’s browser. This starter version does not send or store saved lists on an Elsewhere server. A trip-list sharing URL contains the selected destination IDs; anyone with that link can read the shared list. If you connect the optional newsletter form, the email address submitted will be sent to its configured service. Guide reviews, when the feature is connected, send the name a visitor chooses to display, their star rating and review text to the configured Supabase project. Reviews are held for editorial approval before public display; approved names and reviews are visible to other visitors. Identify the provider, purposes, legal basis, retention, moderation contact and safeguards here before enabling submissions. Do not collect reviews until this notice is accurate for your setup.
Cookies, maps, images, analytics, and advertising
Homepage, field-guide and story photography currently loads from the Unsplash image CDN. When the interactive map approaches the visible page, map tiles are requested from the configured tile provider (currently OpenStreetMap's tile service); that provider may receive the visitor's IP address, browser request details and page referrer. Map pan and zoom interactions run in this browser; Elsewhere does not receive them. See OpenStreetMap's privacy information. This starter site does not include analytics, live advertising or advertising cookies. Describe actual cookies, applicable consent choices and any other providers you add to the published site. Review the cookie policy draft and update both pages before publication.
Choices and privacy rights
Explain the rights available to visitors in the places where you operate, how they can exercise them, and any relevant choices or complaint channels. Add accurate contact and response information.
